Getting To Santorini

Arriving in Thira/Santorini

There are three major ways to arrive in Santorini, Flight, Ferry and Cruise ship. The modern airport is only a few kilometers from the island capital and there are several flights a day from Athens in the summer season. Flights absolutley must be booked several months in advance.

The modern ferry port is in newly constructed Bay of Athinios, several kilometers from the island capital of Fira. Buses and taxis to island destinations wind up the heavily switched back road to the top from this ferry landing.
